AICP ROM for Galaxy S4!

Based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, AICP ROM is an AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) featuring full AOKP ROM Control Settings along with other AOSP features.

Some notable AOSP features include OmniSwitch, custom animations, Active Display, custom tile colors, Appbar, Gesture Anywhere, Connection Manager, and some more.

Also included is the latest Google camera, which is 100% working on this ROM along with PhotoSphere and Panorama feature.

I’ve been following AICP ROM for quite awhile now and have to say that their latest releases have been nearly perfect in terms of speed, battery life, and performance.  If you are looking for the best AOSP ROM “right now”, this could definitely be it so give it a test drive over the week(end) and do let me know what you think!

Download Gapps 4.4.2

To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Gapps, and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop, reboot into recovery, go to Advanced Wipe for TWRP or Mounts & Storage for CWM, format/wipe /system, then re-install ROM.)

Note: If you have SafeStrap, DO NOT INSTALL THIS ROM, it will not work.

Hassan ROM with Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Galaxy S4 GT-i9500!

Based on latest Android 4.4.2 TouchWiz Samsung firmware, Hassan ROM aims to bring a sleek S5-style interface/UI along with boosted performance and bloatware-free environment.

First, with Hassan ROM, you will be able to experience what’s coming up with the latest Galaxy S5 through its modded S5 UI, S5 icons, and even S5 apps pulled from a real S5 such as S Note, S Translator, and calculator.

Other notable features include support for all languages (including Arabic right-to-left), Bloatware/Knox free, and a slew of root apps including Wanam Xposed (for tweaking your UI), Light Manager, Xposed Torch, USB Mass Storage (for connecting your microSD cards to devices that require USB Mass storage mode such as your car), auto call-recording, App Hider, and some more.

Overall, Hassan ROM is an excellent choice over the stock KitKat Android 4.4.2 firmware, which is much too laggy and filled with bloatware you don’t want. So, if you are still on Jelly Bean or stock KitKat firmware, definitely give this ROM a try this week(end) and let me know what you think!

To install this ROM, reboot into CWM or TWRP recovery, make a backup ROM (so you can restore your old ROM if something goes wrong), do a factory reset/wipe (if not coming from TouchWiz ROM), install ROM, and reboot.
